Trial Manager Help
Add a Trial Entry
Under Trial Manager > Trials
Click on Entries
Click on Create New
Start typing the name of the dog and select the name:
The handler name will default as the owner of the dog
If it is a different handler, start to type in their name and select the name:
Select the title:
Leave the status as PendingApproval and click Save
The Catalogue Number can either be left as blank or you can use this to control the order that the entries will appear on the Trial Summary Sheet (ie. Catalogue number 1 will be Dog #1).
Repeat this process for all trial entries.
Once the entries are paid and approved to be in the trial, click the Approve button. Alternatively use the Reject button to decline an entry or Withdraw if the participant is no longer entering.
To print the Trial Summary Sheet, click on the link:
Depending on your internet browser:
Chrome – file will appear along bottom of the screen; click to open
MS Edge – select Open or Save to computer
Firefox - select Open with Excel and OK or Save File to computer
If you get a warning message in Excel, click on Enable Editing:
The Cover page tab contains the event information and the Dog page tab will list the trial dogs. The Label page can be used to print, cut up and attach to the judge’s score sheets.
Enter Trial Results
Under Trial Manager > Trials
Click on Edit Results
All APPROVED entries will be listed and ready for results to be entered. The top section is for BH and AD entries and the bottom section is for all scored titles.
All changes are auto saved and immediately posted on the public website – each change will also generate a notification to be sent to the dog handler (and owner if different).
For each dog’s temperament test and tattoo/chip check, select either pass or fail. Tattoo/chip check discrepancies will be noted on the Trial Summary Cover sheet.
For each dog in BH or AD, select pass or fail under the Title Awarded.
For scored titles, enter the score for each phase (note that you will only enter scores where a phase is applicable - for IGP-FH the tracking scores will be entered in box A and box B)
The total score will be calculated and the Result will be automatically set.
If applicable, select the TSB rating
If applicable, select a disqualification, termination or pulled reason from the options
Based on the selection the result will be set to either DQ, TERM or PULL with the reason pulled into the Trial Summary sheet
Complete Trial Details
Click on the Name of the trial
Confirm the trial details are correct and adjust if necessary:
Enter the actual start and end times for each trial day
If there were any discrepancies in the tattoo or chip check, indicate the details in the discrepancy box – if all checks passed leave blank
To add the tracklayer and helper information, start typing the name of the member or enter their GSSCC member number – select the name from the list.
Enter the number of titles and dogs worked for each person
To add another helper/tracklayer, click the + symbol
To remove a helper/tracklayer, click the garbage can symbol
Click SAVE
Printing Trial Summary
Uploading signed & scanned Trial Summary paperwork is OPTIONAL for trials with GSSCC Judges.
Uploading signed & scanned Trial Summary paperwork is MANDATORY for trials with all Foreign Judges (for example all phases were judged by USCA or SV Judges) as well as all National Championship trials. Please upload the paperwork PRIOR to proceeding with the Trial Approval.
To print the Trial Summary Sheet, click Download Paperwork button:

To upload the signed and scanned Trial Summary Sheet, click on the Upload Paperwork link:
Click Add Document
Click on the paperclip and browse to the file to upload
Wait for the file to upload and then click Save
The file will now be listed – if needed, the document can be viewed by clicking the icon
If additional files need to be uploaded, click Add Document and repeat the process. Once all files have been uploaded, click Save
Request Trial Approval

Once all trial results and trial details have been entered, click on the Request Approval button:
Click yes on the Request confirmation:
The Trial Approver will receive a notification to review the trial results. If changes are required the trial will be returned to the Trial Manager to make an corrections. If the trial results are accurate the trial will be sent to the Head Judge and the National Paperwork Coordinator for final approval.
Note that the Trial Approver for Foreign Judges will be the Head Judge so it is imperative to upload the signed and scanned Trial Summary Sheet so that the Head Judge can validate the results. All GSSCC Judges will use their own scoresheets for validation.
Change Trial Manager
Under Trial Manager > Trials
Click on the Name of the trial
In the Trial Manager field, start typing the name of the member or enter their GSSCC member number – select the name from the list. Only certified trial managers will be shown in the list.
Click SAVE
A notification will be sent confirming the change of Trial Manager.
Scorebook Registration
Scorebook Registration
Check the front page and if there is no embossed seal with a number, the scorebook needs to be registered with the GSSCC.
If there is a seal it will look like this:
If the book does not have the seal it must to be mailed in. If the dog did not pass, the book still needs to be sent in to be registered.
You MUST ensure the first page AND last page are completed. Everything in red is mandatory
Back page is also mandatory. It must show the name, address, and signature of the owner of the dog as per registration papers NOT the handler.
Each book to be mailed in MUST include a self-addressed envelope (S.A.S.E). Include all stamped and addressed envelopes and mail the package by regular mail. Books will be mailed back to the owner of the dog not the handler (if different than owner) and not to the Trial Manager.

Note that for any Canadians resident, if a scorebook is used from another organization such as CWDF, USCA, SV etc. and it is not registered with the GSSCC it must be sent into the National Paperwork Coordinator to be registered along with a self addressed stamped envelope.
