The objective of the program is to:

A: Provide “standardized” education and trial helper training

B: Increase the number of trial helpers in the GSSCC

C: Promote membership involvement and participation through ongoing helper education

D: Facilitate GSSCC objectives to protect and improve the German Shepherd Dog breed as outlined in GSCC Bylaws

A first ever certified helper meeting was held at the 2008 Canadian Championships. The meeting was attended by many and lots of excellent ideas presented.

I would like to let the rest of the membership know what is happening with the helper program:

(1) The helper committee is  making some minor administration changes to the program itself .

(2) Another helper level was added- club front-half only.

(3) New helper books will be printed.

(4) An easy to follow guide on the program, levels and process to book an event will be created and given to the clubs.

(5) We are going to update the presenation itself.

SO, this is where you can help. If anyone has any movies showing excellent trial helper work please burn them to a disc and send them to Helper Program Director Darin Clarke at # 1096, Route 850, Kiersteadville, New Brunswick. E5T-3P4.
